Oddities is a celebration of bold, unconventional, and experimental creativity across film, music, literature, and visual art. The event brings together artists, dreamers, and thinkers for a day of conversation, exhibition and live performances.
oddities is inspired by the human desire to express and to be seen. It is born from our desperate attempts to reach inward, pull out the essence of who we are, and offer it to the world. This act of expression is art, and it lives in the unique, often peculiar ways we show up as humans.
We are intrigued by the way we do: the small, sublime, and even mundane ways we reveal ourselves. oddities is a celebration of these expressions, both strange and beautiful, quiet and bold.
Through this, we seek to honour art in its many forms, specifically through four major disciplines -writing, music, film, visual art- and create space for reflection, connection, and appreciation of what it means to be human. This year, we hope to spotlight art that is alternative, experimental, and rebellious. We're curating an experience that is truly different from the mainstream.
More than just a celebration, oddities is an invitation. A space to open dialogue about art, its impact on our community, and the role of young people in shaping culture. It aims to explore how creativity can challenge, heal, and influence the spaces we live in.
The Odddies are bold, unconventional voices we’ve documented through photos, films, and words. they are redefining what it means to create, right from their corners of the world.
We are looking for bold and original creations that challenge the norms and narrative. Visual artists, writers, filmmakers, poets, musicians, performance artists, and artists across all genre and media.
